What is the latest I can come to try on bridal gowns?

Please allow yourself plenty of time to try on. We suggest coming at least 2 hours before closing so that you won't feel rushed. Saturdays during the months of January-June are extremely busy. You may sometimes have to wait for a bridal consultant, so bring plenty of patience, too! We will do our best to speed things along for you and serve you the best we can. (Hint: If you are able to come on a weekday instead, it will be quieter and your wait time will be less.)

Can I bring young children with me to shop?

We love children! We have children and grandchildren of our own; however, please remember that bridal shops are not the most fun place for little ones. Sitting patiently and watching others try on dresses can become boring quickly for active, young children. In addition, you may not want to be distracted by fidgety kiddos when making such an important decision as the purchase of your bridal gown. 

Can I bring food and drinks into the store?

We ask that you do not bring food or drinks into the store.  We DO, however, have coffee and wine (Urbanity Coffee and Wine) right next door for purchase.  Our lattes are hands down, THE BEST and we offer native Iowa wines.  Looking for food and drinks for your bride tribe to enjoy during your shopping experience?  Check out our exclusive bridal appointment option under the "Inquire About An Appointment" tab.

How many guests can I bring with me?

If you are planning on bringing lots of people with you, please keep in mind that everyone has their own taste and style. In our 30 years of experience, we have learned that sometimes too many opinions only confuses and frustrates our brides. You know your own personality, but you may want to bring 1-2 people with you to select your gown. You can always bring more people in at a later time to show them the gown that you chose! If you do decide to bring a larger group, please know that we only have seating for 3-5 people at the bridal mirrors. Some of your guests may have to stand if you bring more. 

Can I take pictures before purchase?

Due to our agreements with our designers, we do not allow pictures until after purchase. Once you have purchased and the dress is yours, feel free to take all the keepsake photos you would like! 

What’s your budget?

Our bridal gown prices on our main floor range from $899-$3500, and our “Designer Limited” section ranges from $599-$1499. Please have an idea of your budget before you come so that we can help guide you to the best area. We require 70% down if you are special ordering your gown. If you are purchasing one from our stock, we do have a payment plan available if needed.
**There will be a special offer valid only on your first visit toward the purchase of your bridal gown. This discount can only be used that day, so you may want to be prepared to purchase and take advantage of saving some money if you find your dream gown! We encourage you to bring the people you need to make a decision that day! (This discount is not valid on our already marked-down dresses.)
