Storybook Endings: Real Fairytale Endings for Our Storybook Brides

Hey, Storybook fam! For this week’s blog, we are taking a peek at the “storybook ending” of our bride, McKennah! 

After dating for just over 3 years, McKennah and her boyfriend, Cody, decided to buy their first house. On closing day, their friends and family joined them, anxious to see their new home. Of course, to commemorate the momentous occasion, McKennah and Cody decided to take a photo in front of their house; however, Cody had something else planned. As he knelt down to “tie his shoe” before the photo, Cody suddenly turned to McKennah and proposed! Of course, she happily said “Yes!” Not only did she add a new set of house keys to her key ring that day, but McKennah also ended the day with the addition of a sparkly new engagement ring on her finger! 

When it came time to shop for her wedding dress, McKennah’s search came up empty after checking out the first two bridal stores. On Black Friday of 2022, she visited Storybook Ending, hoping that she would finally find her dream dress. Throughout her appointment, she tried on several dresses, but still had not found “the one”. As her appointment time was nearing a close, her consultant selected one last dress that she thought McKennah may like—McKennah instantly fell in love. “It ended up being my perfect dress! I saw myself in it and instantly knew that, THAT was going to be my wedding dress!” 

On the exact date of their 6th anniversary, McKennah and Cody finally tied the knot on September 2, 2023 at The Stern Center in Rock Island, IL. McKennah looked and felt like a princess in her jaw-dropping gown. “I felt stunning and so beautiful in it!” she recalled.  As most weddings do, McKennah and Cody’s day flew by in a blur, but they will forever cherish the memories of love, laughter, and joy as they celebrated their own “storybook ending” with their closest family and friends. 

Looking back on her experience at A Storybook Ending, McKennah shared, “Out of all the dress shops I had gone to, Storybook was by far the most amazing experience!” Thank you so much for allowing us to share in the joy of your wedding planning, McKennah!
